They calls him 'Ol Burnsy.  But the resemblance to Keith Urban is...well...unmistakable, although he is righthanded.

He first fell in love with country music sitting in his grandma's lap watching the Johnny Cash Show.  Growing up listening to the country stars of the 70's and 80's, he came to love all types of country, from the songs, movie and show themes of the "golden age", to the roaring, raucous likes of cowpunk and hellbilly.  You'll often find these cousins of today's country music embedded in his 'infauxmercials' and showing up in music beds as he's announcing.

Some say he sounds like an auctioneer on a sugar high when he's behind the microphone.  'Ol Burnsy has a lovely, concupiscent baritone coupled with an odd, yet pleasing, Yankee Drawl.  He was a book narrator for many years before coming to work on our radio station...which would explain why his earliest on-air segments stretched for several hours.  In his defense, it was force of habit.

When he's not playing music on the radio, he's playing it on his porch.  'Ol Burnsy dabbles with guitar, bass, harmonica and a few other instruments.  Some say he sings.  We remain unconvinced that this activity would be classified as singing, and he's encouraged to leave that to the professionals.
